Biographical Note

The Atlanta Film Council, affiliated with the Film Council of America, was an organization committed to disseminating information on, and promoting effective use of, audio-visual materials. In June 1949, the Atlanta Film Council co-sponsored a workshop with Emory University, called the Audio and Visual Education Workshop.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of the records of the Atlanta Film Council from 1947-1952. The organization's file include correspondence, reports, announcements, membership lists, and a constititution.
