Scope and Content Note

The series consists of letters and certificates documenting awards given to Dr. Hurst; biographical and autobiographical essays; text of an interview containing primarily biographical information; curriculum vitae; and newspaper clippings pertaining to awards. Also included is correspondence to and from Dr. Hurst that documents his service at Bethesda Naval Hospital, 1954-1956.
