Collection Description
Biographical Note
Born in Dunkirk, New York, Rose Cashman Dilday received her B.S. in Nursing from New York University followed by an MA in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Rutgers. She went on to help establish the Impaired Nurses Program in Georgia which served as a model for other states. She taught at the Nell Hodgson School of Nursing at Emory University from 1967 to 1980 and continued to serve as an Emeritus Professor until her death in Atlanta, Georgia in 2014.

This collection consists of various published materials written by Rose Cashman Dilday focusing on topics such as Mental Health, Public Health, and nursing education (1961-1982). This collection also contains Rose Dilday's correspondence (1972-1983), including correspondence with Jimmy Carter's office while Governor of Georgia and an invitation to President Jimmy Carter's inauguration.
