Collection Description

Biographical Note

Charles Bragg was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1931. He attended New York's High School of Music and Art in Harlem. He originally pursued various means of employment, including cow driver, truck driver, and stand-up comedian before he settled in California and began his artistic career. Bragg is known for his satirical works of art. Bragg refers to himself as a "devoted student of the human race" and an "observer." Bragg died on January 9, 2018 at the age of 85.
