Biographical Note

Theodore (Ted) Edward Davis (1929-2002) was born in Brooklyn, New York. He received his master’s degree in history from the University of Virginia in 1964 and was a professor of history at Oxford College from 1967-1993. He developed a local history course that taught students data collection and to conduct field research in Newton County.
