Scope and Content Note
This collection is comprised of a letter dated May 10 from Basil Wilberforce to Frances Powers Cobbe. Cobbe (1822-1904) was a English feminist writer who was also involved in the anti-vivisection movement. In the letter, Wilberforce speaks Cobbe, writing, “the world is the better that you have lived.”
