Collection Description

Biographical Note

Manuscript parchment leaf produced approximately 1400, used as pastedown on front inside cover of a late 15th century leather binding with metal bosses. The text is written with brown ink in Gothic script. There are 2 ornamental initials in red and blue and several words written in red ink. The Clementinae Constitutiones were a canonical law collection compiled by Pope Clement V for the Council of Vienna (1311-1312).

Scope and Content Note

The text of the manuscript contains a glossed portion of the Clementinae Constitutiones (first chapter of the second book, which regulates with the transfer of papal benefices).
