Collection Description

Historical Note

AID Atlanta, founded in 1982, is an AIDS service organization. AID Atlanta provides primary medical care and treatment to patients who are HIV-positive and is also the sole provider of HIV medical case management in the Atlanta metro-area. The organization also offers HIV prevention education programs designed to reduce new infections and promote healthy lifestyles.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of the records of AID Atlanta from circa 1988-2017. The records include contracts, memoranda, reports, awards, memorabilia, photographs, video recordings, binders, and printed material. The majority of the records are binders on their fundraising activities including the AID Walk Atlanta, Atlanta Cotillion, and The Loop. Also included is a small amount of material relating to some of their educational programs.
