Scope and Content Note

The series contains administrative records of the Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center (ACAC) from 1960-2014. Included are general administrative materials, financial records, and marketing materials. Administrative records document the work of the organization's leadership, including annual meeting packets, minutes, and notes; minutes and notes from the board of directors and committees; planning documents; and foundational materials such as mission statements and by-laws. Also included is internal communications and correspondence with outside partners. The series also contains planning materials for programs organized by the ACAC and related the spaces the ACAC was housed. Financial records include grant applications, receipts, and other financial documents. Promotional materials contain exhibition catalogs collected by members of the ACAC as well as fliers, membership drive promotions, and public service announcements.

Promotional materials arranged in this series are general promotions highlighting the organization or multiple events. Those materials regarding specific events and exhibitions are filed with those programs in their respective series.
