Collection Description

Biographical Note

Atlanta Prime Timers is the Atlanta, Georgia, chapter of Prime Timers Worldwide. Prime Timers Worldwide are older gay or bisexual men who choose to have their social lives enriched by the diverse activities in which their members engage. Chapters, including the Atlanta one, involve themselves in their community with volunteerism, politics, gay issues, arts, entertainment, medical issues, support groups, and other facets of healthy living. The Atlanta chapter is the third-oldest chapter of the group, founded in 1989. The group produces a bimonthly newsletter called APTitudes, fosters social connections, and hosts social and educational events.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of the records of Atlanta Prime Timers from 1996-2014, including membership applications, financial records, administrative files, and a significant run of the group's newsletter, APTitudes.
