C.O. Banks, African American Baptist minister. He was pastor of the First Baptist Mt. Union Church in St. Joseph, Missouri and the moderator of the Mt. Zion District Association.

Scope and Content Note

The collection contains the papers of C.O. Banks from 1943-1960. The papers include correspondence, sermon notes, financial reports, and printed brochures, bulletins, and meeting minutes. Correspondence, financial reports, and printed material mostly concern his work with the Mt. Zion District Association. The collection also includes newsletters from the Western Baptist Seminary, a printed sermon given by T.W. Redwood at the Missionary State Baptist Convention, and a brochure from the Pioneer Theological Seminary.
