Scope and Content Note

The series contains invitations, addresses, promotional booklets, yearbooks, and programs relating to various functions sponsored by educational institutions around the country from 1869-1992. The largest number of items represented includes commencement invitations, yearbooks, programs, and promotional materials from colleges in Georgia. Also of interest are yearbooks, invitations, and other material relating to public schools located primarily in Georgia. There is also a small amount of printed material pertaining to books and libraries, including a variety of bookplates, bookmarks, and book lists related to the African Americans.
