Scope and Content Note
The subseries consists of published and unpublished prose written by Richard Blanco from 2007-2017. It includes essays, chapter drafts, book drafts, editor comments, notes, and proofs. The majority of the materials in this subseries pertain to Promises of Paradise, an unpublished precursor to The Prince of Los Cocuyos, and The Prince of Los Cocuyos: A Miami Childhood (2014), Blanco's memoir which received the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Memoir in 2015.
