Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of printed and promotional material relating to African American collegiate sports from 1973-1983 collected by James Bryan. The materials include brochures, newspaper clippings, press kits, posters, and programs from sporting events and programs. Press kits relating to the Mutual Black Network Black College All-American football team and the Sheridan Black College All-Star Football Game also document early efforts to create an African American television network.
