Scope and Content Note

This series contains material relating to a variety of subjects, including material of a personal nature, information relating to the theaters and organizations Bullins was involved in, and material relating to his academic career as a student and professor. Personal files include his address and appointment books, membership cards, honors and awards, and files documenting his interests in Buddhism and the Martial Arts. Other files document his extensive involvement in various theaters and organizations, including the Bullins Memorial Theater (BMT), located in Emeryville, California, the Julian Theatre (San Francisco, California), the New Federal Theatre (New York City), and The New Lafayette Theatre (New York City). The last portion of this series consists of his academic files and includes material relating to his role as a student and professor at a variety of institutions, such as class papers, syllabi, and administrative material.
