Scope and Content Note

This series is comprised of printed material by Ed Bullins, about Ed Bullins, and general printed items from 1963-2010. The printed material by Bullins includes essays, interviews, letters to the editor, a review, and a short story, spanning from 1963 to 2000. The printed material about Bullins includes a variety of material relating to Bullins, his works, or other projects in which he was involved, from 1968-2000, such as reviews, tickets, playbills, and promotion and production materials related to plays. The subseries also includes other printed material relating to Bullins and his work in African American theater, summaries of his work at different stages of his career, award ceremonies, and speaking events at various universities. The general printed material subseries contains articles, creative works, brochures, flyers, newsletters, press releases, and programs for events, from 1973 to 2009, covering general topics such as African American theater, the Black Arts Movement, and politics.
