William H. Charlton, supervisor of the Editorial and Radio Division of the National Recovery Administration, headquartered in New York.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of papers of William H. Charlton from 1933-1942. The papers document Charlton's role in promoting the programs of the National Recovery Administration, and include bulletins, news releases, reports, radio scripts, speeches, and stories chronicling the Depression. The collection also includes about 100 pieces of sheet music which Charlton collected.
