Scope and Content Note

This series of printed materials reflects the personal and professional interests of the Chisholm family. The series is comprised of collected programs, pamphlets, booklets, reports, newspapers, and clippings. Materials from Tuskegee Institute and Hampton Institute are prominent. In addition, clippings and scrapbooks detail the social and political issues which concerned the Chisholm family. Notable clippings include articles on lynching and a 1911 assault on Booker T. Washington in New York City.
