Scope and Content Note

The series consists of artwork, address books, date books, notebooks, and miscellaneous ephemera. The artwork was created by a number of such prominent artists as Allan R. Crite, Edwin Harleston, and Ann Petry and includes greeting cards, postcards, watercolor paintings and drawings as well as narrative works relating to art. The series also contains collected calendars and address books of Helen J. Chisholm, which provide some information concerning the Chishoms' friends and extended family. Also present are notebooks kept by Helen J. Chisholm which suggest that she studied for at least one semester at Yale University around 1906. In addition there is a small group of general ephemera which includes cards of introduction, certificates and George Washington Carver commemorative postage stamps.
