Collection Description

Historical Note

The Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools (CINS), founded in 1978, represents the four elementary schools (Hope/Hill, Lin, Morningside, Springdale Park), two K-8 charter schools (Centennial Academy and Kindezi Old Fourth Ward), a middle school (Inman), and high school (Grady) that make up the schools known as the Grady Cluster. The mission of the organization is to foster the development of safe, quality education and each year, CINS awards grants to teachers in the Grady Cluster. Membership is open to anyone who supports the mission.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of the records of the Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools and include reports, printed materials, agendas for meetings, board meeting minutes, and grant files from 1983-2013. The records document the work done for the schools in the Grady Cluster.
