Subseries 2.2c
Television program scripts, 1972-1973
Boxes 96-97

Scope and Content Note

The subseries consists of typescript television scripts written by Cleage from 1972-1973 during her tenure as host, interviewer, and staff writer for Atlanta television stations WQXI-TV and WETV. The majority of the subseries consists of typescripts of "Ebony Beat Journal," a program of interviews that Cleage conducted with guests from the African American community in Atlanta. Of particular interest is her interview with Maynard Jackson during which he announced his candidacy for mayor in 1972. Also included are notes for "Black Viewpoints," an educational program produced by Clark College which Cleage hosted.
