Subseries 2.2d
Other writings, 1967-2009
Boxes 98-100 and 155

Scope and Content Note

The subseries consists of other writings by Cleage from 1967-2009 and includes forwards, oaths, reflection essays, reports, and short stories. Typescript drafts of Cleage's forward for Savoring the Salt: The Legacy of Toni Cade Bambara, reflection essays on topics such as being a black writer, and memories of being a Spelman College student make up the bulk of the subseries. Of particular interest is the first and only issue of Cleage's newsletter, "The Truth is Stranger Than Fiction" produced in 1985.
