Scope and Content Note

The series includes Lucille Clifton's teaching and workshop files from 1985-2005. Teaching files include selected syllabi and student writings from her tenures at the University of California Santa Cruz, St. Mary's College of Maryland, and Duke University. The series also includes correspondence and administrative material which document her involvement in various university committees and projects. The workshop files include rosters, assignments, and participants' writings for workshops that Clifton taught.

A handful of teaching and workshop files can also be found in Born digital materials (Series 11).
