Scope and Content Note

The subseries consists of printed material by the Cummington Press and other small presses, in addition to general printed material about the Press, literature and the books arts, from 1942-1997. The small press material consists of printing samples, invitations, prospectus, and other printed material produced by notable small presses including Perishable Press, the Landlocked Press, and Windhover Press. Of note in this section is the variety of mediums, ranging from Tatlin Books' printed folders, to Joyce Holland's one-word poetry series printed in a matchbook. The subseries also contains general printed material, including articles about the Cummington Press, as well as articles relating to fine printing in general.
