The folder contains two copies of the score. One has some probable conductor marks. The other has a note that identifies the Work Song as "Stewball" and includes music and text for the song. It also bears this note: "This composition, A Negro Work Song for Orchestra, was commissioned by the Columbia Broadcasting System in 1940 for their American School of the Air." |
