Collection Description

Biographical Note

Clifford Cabell Early, United States Army colonel, was born ca. 1883, in Virginia, and died April 11, 1967, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a graduate of West Point (1905), a professor of military science at North Carolina State College of Engineering, post commander of Fort McPherson, in Atlanta, Georgia (1941-1943), and active in several civic organizations, including the Georgia Rose Society and the Men's Garden Club of Atlanta.

The collection consists of correspondence, estate records, scrapbooks, and memorabilia relating to Clifford Cabell Early's military career and his membership in several civic organizations, including the Georgia Rose Society and the Men's Garden Club of Atlanta.
