Collection Description
Biographical Note
John Egerton was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1935. He has written several books including Generation: An American Family, which won the Weatherford Award in 1983 and the Lillian Smith Award in 1984.
Scope and Content Note
The collection contains materials collected by John Egerton relating to John Popham, a journalist with the New York Times and William Gordon, an editor of the Atlanta Daily World. The papers include notes, printed material, and audio and videotapes documenting the Popham Seminars from 1997(?)-2000.
