Collection Description

Administrative History

The Luce Seminar at Emory University, initiated in 1989, was comprised of faculty from various academic disciplines and directed by James M. Gustafson, the Henry R. Luce Professor of Humanities and Comparative Studies. Seminar participants prepared, shared, and discussed research papers on broad themes. In 1997, the Office of the Provost assumed sponsorship of the Seminar. It was renamed the Gustafson Seminar in 1998.
