Collection Description

Administrative History

Emory University's Violence Studies Program began in 1997 as an interdisciplinary minor for undergraduates that focused on the causes, representations, effects, and prevention of violence, broadly conceived. It also focused on teaching skills in conflict resolution and mediation. The core of the program was an introductory class and a student internship. The program was discontinued after the 2005-2006 academic year.
