Collection Description

Administrative History

Wesley Woods is a retirement community, health center, and continuing education center, established in 1954 by members of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Episcopal Church. Wesley Woods is located adjacent to Emory University and its health center is an affiliate of Emory Healthcare. Wesley Woods Senior Living Inc., formerly known as Wesley Homes Inc., the parent company, owns and operates retirement communities throughout northern Georgia.

Scope and Content Note

The collection includes meeting minutes, financial records, correspondence, newsletters, brochures, and other records of Wesley Woods in Atlanta, Ga. Correspondence is chiefly that of Scott Houston Jr., director.
