Collection Description

Administrative History

Emory University staff began recording campus events in the 1940s. Primarily responsible for these recordings was the Teaching Aids Department, which handled not only recordings but also acquiring audiovisual aids for in-class instruction. After 1979, recording campus events became the responsibilty of no one office specifically and recordings were often made on an ad hoc basis. More recently, offices and department responsible for communications and multimedia production began recording campus events and Emory-related content in local and national media.
