Collection Description

Administrative History

WMRE is Emory University’s radio station that began broadcasting on January 20, 1989 after several years of student development. It was first broadcast to the Emory community via 590AM until the cables carrying the signal failed, after which Emory’s Cable System broadcast the station on channel 26. In 1998 the station began broadcasting also on the World Wide Web.
