Collection Description

Administrative History

The Housing Office at Emory University operated campus dormitories and residence halls. The Director of Housing, later with the Director of Women's Housing, ran the office. The office conducted an annual survey of University housing that documented where students, single or married, of the various colleges and schools, lived.

Scope and Content Note

Records include annual housing surveys of Emory University students and other material related to University housing from the Housing Office. In particular, several of the files are from the office of Ada Fort, former Dean of the Nursing School, and deal with women's housing on campus.
