Scope and Content Note

Within this series are secondary materials collected by Michel Fabre, including items related to exhibits, concerts, readings, and conferences Fabre attended, participated in, or organized. The conference files primarily include conference programs for the African-Americans and Europe conference, organized by Fabre in the 1990s; the collection also contains paper proposals and correspondence relating to the planning of the conference. Additionally, this series includes fliers and posters collected by Fabre that promote performances, readings, and films by black artists. The series also contains materials related to a distance-learning course taught by Fabre and research files primarily pertaining to his work on Richard Wright.
