Scope and Content Note

The subseries contains all incoming correspondence from 1799-1838, the largest concentrations being the years 1813 and 1819-1830. These letters concern the Irish administration, Catholic emancipation, famine, and civil unrest. The correspondents include Sir Robert Peel, Lord Whitworth, Charles Grant, Lord Talbot, Henry Goulborn, Marquis Wellesley, William Saurin, William Lamb, Francis Leveson-Gower, William Vesey-Fitzgerald, and Marquis Angelsey.
