Series 10
Collected material,
1926-1979
Boxes 52-57 and OP6
Scope and Content Note
Series 10 contains material created by other, non-WCTU organizations that the Georgia officers collected. For the most part, these items are printed or mimeographed, although in some cases letters or reports are included. A wide range of organizations appear in this series and it is not always clear in what way they relate to the Georgia union. However, temperance and religious organizations are most typical. The papers that originated with the Methodist or Baptist churches and with the Georgia Temperance League are the most substantive; in fact, the Georgia Temperance League records include correspondence, reports and minutes, newsletters, and printed material. Another group worth noting is the Saracen Fact Sheet, Series A-E, that relates to the 1928 presidential campaign and the repeal of national prohibition.
Related information can be found in Series 1, Correspondence; Series 4, Program Material; Series 5, Printed Material; and Series 8, National WCTU Records.
Arrangement Note
The series is arranged alphabetically by the name of the organization.
