Collection Description

Biographical Note

John Harris Harper, graduate of Emory University (1960) and the Emory University Law School (1962). He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations of the United States Treasury Department (in the mid 1970's) and authored several publications for the Investment Bankers Association of America.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of papers of John Harris Harper from 1974-1976. Created during Harper's service as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations of the United States Treasury Department, the papers include records of the President's Economic Policy Board from 1974-1976. These records include memoranda, minutes from meetings of the executive committee, guidelines, and other papers pertaining to matters of tax reform and economic policy under consideration by the Board.
