Scope and Content Note
The collection consists of the Hunnicutt family papers from 1830-1949. The papers include correspondence, printed material, speeches, a prospectus, and advertisements. Correspondence is among members of the Hunnicut family and with others; subjects include prohibition, patent medicine, religion, and agriculture. Much of the correspondence is in the form of advertisements. Printed material includes sheet music, brochures, programs, pamphlets, catalogs, manuals, and miscellaneous publications pertaining to the Sons of Temperance, politics, prohibition, and patent medicine. Also included is a prospectus for the Sixes Gold Mine, Limited. Speeches pertain to prohibition.
