Collection Description

Biographical Note

Rosemary Magee received her PhD in English from Emory University (Atlanta, GA) in 1982 and spent the rest of her career serving the University in various capacities. She taught courses in English, women’s gender and sexuality studies, and interdisciplinary studies. In 2005, she was named University vice president and secretary and in 2012, she became director of the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library, a position she held until her retirement in 2018.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of files and sound recordings related to Magee’s research on Flannery O’Connor and Sally Fitzgerald. Audio recordings are of a public conversation between Magee and Fitzgerald about O’Connor.
