Scope and Content Note
Among Derek Mahon's papers are literary manuscripts of a number of other poets and contemporary writers. Some of these works were sent to him in his capacity as poetry editor for the New Statesman; others were sent for his comments or as tokens of friendship. Among the poets represented are Sara Berkeley, Seamus Heaney, Michael Longley, and John Montague. Of special note is Desmond O'Grady's poem "These Fields in Springtime," which Derek Mahon has substantially revised. These manuscripts are arranged alphabetically by author.
Arrangement Note
Arranged in alphabetical order.
