Scope and Content Note

The series consists of personal files of Medbh McGuckian including diaries and subject files. Of particular interest in subseries 4.1 are McGuckian's personal diaries. The diaries (1965-1986) contain brief descriptions of and thoughts on daily events as well as appointments, addresses, poetry transcriptions, and quotations.

Subseries 4.2, subject files contain printed material and correspondence relating to specific individuals, such as Seamus Heaney and Tess Gallagher, and organizations such as Aosdana, The Northern Ireland Arts Council, Queen's University Belfast, and Fortnight
