Scope and Content Note

The series includes photographs of Margaret Mitchell, alone and with others, 1920-1940; photographs of Gone With the Wind actors, [1939]; photographs of the Gone With the Wind premiere [1939], and of the Loew's Grand fire, 1978. Also present are sound recordings of musical adaptations of Gone With the Wind by Harold Rome and one television documentary on Margaret Mitchell titled "Peggy of Peachtree." See also Series 3 Gone With the Wind musical materials. Phonographs can be found in the Miscellany LP box.
