Restrictions on Access

Special restrictions apply: Use copies have not been made for audiovisual material in this collection. Researchers must contact the Rose Library at least two weeks in advance for access to these items. Collection restrictions, copyright limitations, or technical complications may hinder the Rose Library's ability to provide access to audiovisual material.

Processing Note

Archivists described speeches using information available from the collection. When a title was present on the speech text, it is included in the file title along with the location of the speech, if it was known. Some file titles may include only the title or the location. A small number of speeches had neither a title nor location information and have been described using the filename printed on the document. Some files may include correspondence and/or planning documents but most do not. The series does not include Nelson's remarks before Congressional committees, prepared texts for Nelson's appearances on television, or lectures prepared for courses taught by Nelson. For those documents, see Series 3: Other writings and subject files.
