Scope and Content Note

Subseries 2.1 consists of the financial records of James Oliver, including account statements, bills of sale for property in Georgia, and promissory notes, but is mostly comprised of invoices for cotton, largely from the Augusta firm of Bustin and Walker, and receipts for goods and services. In addition, this subseries contains James Oliver's records as administrator to the Thomas Knott Estate.
