Scope and Content Note
The scrapbooks in this series contain newspaper clippings, programs, photographs, and ephemera. They cover all facets of Palmer’s professional career including his service as president of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Atlanta Housing Authority, and as United States Defense Housing Coordinator. There are separate scrapbooks documenting Palmer’s development of Techwood Homes and Palmer House, the development of Oak Knoll, the publication of his book Adventures of a Slum Fighter, and his involvement in the Fifty Club.
