Biographical Note
Jack Henry Parks (1918- ) was a newspaper editor in Dahlonega, Georgia. In 1949, he bought the Dahlonega Nugget, which he owned and edited for most of his career.
Scope and Content Note
The collection consists of the papers of Jack Henry Parks circa 1945-1970. The papers include letters and photographs. Letters consist mainly of Parks' correspondence with U.S. Senator Richard B. Russell, and discuss matters of patronage (1960-1970). Photographs include documentation of conditions in Okinawa during World War II (circa 1945), as well as pictures of Parks, Richard B. Russell, and Ralph McGill.
