Scope and Content Note

This series contains personal and collected papers from 1944-2002. The bulk of the series contains personal correspondence of Pavia and his wife Natalie Edgar from 1944-2002. Other items in the series include address books, photographs of Pavia and other artists, subject files concerning Franz Kline and Willem de Kooning, and collected sketches by artists Alcopley, Aristodimos Kaldis, Franz Kline, Nicholas Marsicano, and Peter Agostini. The series also contains two sculptures of Leda and the Swan from the studio of Willem DeKooning (see Series 6: Legal files for more information on these sculptures).
