Biographical Note

Julian Plowden is a photographer. He was born in Columbus, Georgia. His work has been exhibited at Kennesaw State University (Atlanta, Georgia), Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachussetts), and the Louvre in Paris, France, and has featured on the cover of Atlanta magazine, Creative Loafing.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of 100 digital photographs taken in 2015. Some images document protests and marches related to the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States. Others document African American life in Atlanta more broadly.
