Biographical Note
Reverend Wylheme H. Ragland is a Methodist minister and compiler of family and local history in Decatur, Alabama.
Scope and Content Note
The collection consists of the papers of the Ragland-Hassan family and includes printed material, photographs, and artwork. Much of the collection documents the black community in Morgan County, Alabama, where many members of the family lived and worked, including information on black churches, schools, and civic groups. Also included are vintage photographs and greeting cards collected by members of the family.
