Biographical Note

Marion Renfroe, chemist and research scientist, was a colleague of Georgia chemist, Charles Holmes Herty.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of the papers of Marion Renfroe from 1930-1952. The papers include correspondence, clippings, photographs, and other printed material. The collection documents Renfroe's research interests in forestry and in the pulp and paper industry. Of particular note is a letter from Renfroe to Henry Ford asking him to finance a pine tree farm.
